The Gen 6 Glock platform is still new, which means aftermarket slide options are almost nonexistent. The JM Customs Gen 5 to Gen 6 Hybrid Recoil Spring and Backplate Combo solves that problem by allowing Gen 5 slides to run on Gen 6 frames, opening the door to a wide range of aftermarket and OEM slide options.
The hybrid recoil spring is designed specifically for this setup. It uses a Gen 5 size front lug to properly seat in a Gen 5 slide, while the rear lug is sized for the smaller Gen 6 frame spring channel. This allows the spring to fit correctly without the need for spacers, adapters, or other workarounds.
Paired with the hybrid spring is the JM Customs Gen 5 to Gen 6 compatible backplate, which features the correct spacing and cuts to allow a Gen 5 slide to fit and function properly on a Gen 6 frame.
Together, this combo gives Gen 6 owners immediate access to the large selection of aftermarket Gen 5 slides, while maintaining a clean, simple, drop-in solution.
Gen 6 slide internals are NOT compatible with Gen 5 slides. You will need to have Gen 5 internals (striker, striker plunger, extractor, etc) already installed in your Gen 5 slide or purchase and install Gen 5 internals in your Gen 5 slide prior to running it on a Gen 6 frame
